The series architecture — four books, each one a distinct stage of becoming — was built before a single chapter was drafted. The characters arrived with specific biological costs, not powers. This world was built before the prose began.
That is the work. the AI did not create that.
What AI contributed was language — first-pass scenes, draft momentum, the ability to iterate fast enough that the story could be tested against itself in real time. What remained after each pass was a question: does this feel like a 16-year-old girl managing the unmanageable , or does it feel like a machine trying to sound like one. The answer determined whether the iteration continued.
So, now you get to decide what that means for the books. The architecture is mine. The world is mine. The decision about what to call that 16-year-old girl — the name she earns, not the one she was given — that took longer than writing any single chapter.
